Here's What we've been up to: LCW Competition, PaceSetters Award, Capterra feature..
Last week Saturday, we were at the Literary & Creative Writing Contest at Lagos Business School. As sponsors, we were there to enjoy the show, present prizes and 'preach the gospel' of Education technology to the audience.
The event is intended to celebrate and encourage Creative and critical thinking skills in school children. This was the 4th Edition and turn out was great.
The day was filled with confident, entertaining presentations from the students. Korede Praise from Baptist Model High School emerged winner at the end of the day. The 2nd and 3rd runners up were students from Halifield Schools and Princeton College.
Cool stuff! We were pleasantly surprised.I don't know if you noticed but our Excursion Series was interrupted this week, mainly because many schools were on mid-term or just returning from the break. It will continue as scheduled from next week. You can contact us to be a part of it. We're glad to have your students over for a day and teach them a few things about careers in IT.The school breaks also delayed our prize presentation at Pace Setters Academy, Wuye but it finally happened yesterday.
Natasha the winner of our Children's Day Giveaway received her educational tablet along with free internet for her school during a brief assembly with the principal, vice-principal, teachers, students, her mother and FlexiSAF representatives.
Abdulazeez, one of our software engineers spoke briefly to the students on the importance of ICT in the learning environment.
If you didn't know about the Children’s Day competition; school children were asked to give reasons why they think technology is important in classrooms/schools. Natasha Okey-Ohai from Pacesetters won the prize with her strong, interesting entry. See some of the entries here.Don't miss out on another one of our activities/giveaways. Keep up with us on Instagram and Twitter.Thank God It's Friday! How are you spending your weekend? We recommend these posts for you. Read now or save for later.
